Core Responsibilities

• Develop and execute an organic social media strategy, primarily on Instagram (and potentially TikTok), that drives customer retention through educational content while attracting new customers through viral and shareable content
• Own the end-to-end content creation process—from strategy and ideation to production and analytics—with a clear goal of driving measurable business results in both retention and acquisition. You’ll have the budget to hire a team or collaborate with creators to film content
• This is a strategy-focused role; you won’t be required to be on camera
• Build and nurture an engaged community through daily interaction, smart Instagram comments, and content that resonates with the brand’s target audience—primarily women aged 40+
• Oversee content planning for a private Facebook group/community to maximise customer retention
• Manage a content calendar that balances educational content (collagen benefits, success stories, how-to guides) with engaging, shareable content that drives customer acquisition
• Work cross-functionally with the paid media team to ensure organic content complements advertising efforts and helps lower customer acquisition costs

Additional Responsibilities

• Develop and manage relationships with content creators, photographers, and videographers to produce high-quality content within budget
• Track and analyse content performance, focusing on engagement, retention, and organic acquisition
• Build and lead a small, high-performing content team as the brand scales
• Create a robust UGC strategy to leverage customer success stories and testimonials

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience in organic social media, with at least 2–3 years in a D2C health/wellness brand
• Proven track record of growing engaged communities
• Experience managing content budgets and demonstrating ROI
• Strong understanding of content production and management
• Experience in the health, wellness, or beauty industry preferred
• Demonstrated success in creating content that drives both retention and acquisition

This role is instrumental in building our client’s organic presence, supporting paid media efforts, and improving customer retention through compelling content.
